Seeking a QA Officer for our expanding environmental analytical lab, must be experienced with maintaining quality systems for DoD, ISO 17025 and NELAP certifications. Candidate must be experienced in coordinating and directing internal programs to ensure the quality of analytical results, including detailed internal and external audits from multiple accreditation agencies, overseeing bi-annual PT programs, reviewing and updating SOPs and training staff in the Company Quality Assurance Program.
The QA Officer is responsible for coordinating with each laboratory to ensure quarterly LOD/LOQ/MDL studies are performed in accordance with regulatory agency requirements, maintains staff training files including DOCs, organizes annual management reviews of the quality system, performs regular ethics training, maintains SOPs, laboratory required calibration and verification and studies as well as providing guidance to staff on any quality system concerns. The QAO is independent of the laboratory and is responsible for the maintenance and security of all controlled documents.
The QAO also documents client feedback, provides root cause analysis investigations, prepares and institutes corrective and preventative actions for non-conformance and audit findings and works closely with analysts to resolve any QA issues that may be found. We are actively engaged in ongoing research and specialized investigative projects which require technical and quality control input and can require preparation of comprehensive data quality packages for submittal to outside agencies for accreditation or certification.
