Technical Service Representative
The TSR serves as a client’s primary contact and is responsible for managing all daily aspects of client projects. This position is primarily in the drinking water department dealing with homeowners, contractors and health departments but also includes assisting other PMs with commercial clients. Flexible hours, DFWP, clean driving record.
Duties and Responsibilities
Works directly with clients to determine analytical needs, arranges delivery and pick-up of sampling supplies and coordinates sample collection with the field sampling team.
Monitors sample analysis and progress and provides clients and regulatory agencies with results when available.
Produces lab reports for QA review and maintains communication with DOH, meets deadlines for report submittals.
Creates and maintains new customer and project information.
Responds to all customer requests in a timely manner.
Provides customers with chain of custody forms and other materials.
Researches subcontract laboratories for analysis required by customers.
Verifies certifications of subcontract laboratories and requests approval if necessary.
Bachelor’s degree in Science or related field or A.S. and prior laboratory experience. Experience in drinking water/microbiology regulations a plus. Proficient in Excel with experience or ability to learn production of edds and lab management software system. Must be highly organized and detailed orientated with the capability to read, understand and follow scientific SOPs. Good communication skills and ability to talk to clients, will train recent grad or senior with science or math major.
